Hello @acekin and thanks for considering our plugin.
I’m happy to confirm that our plugin can do all those things for you.
- We have 2-step subscription and subscribers can opt-in and opt-out from any list from their profile page.
- You can set up different forms with different subscription methods and you can enable/disable repeated subscriptions.
- You can set up an automatic email that runs daily and gets only sent if there are new posts. This is a paid feature.
- Of course!
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thanks,
MIchael

I am back! The subscription process and the form are clear. I was able to implement it easily. However, the two-step unsubscribe process is not so. I went to the Unsubscribe tab and I can see the shortcode. But there is no place for the visitor to enter her/his e-mail to request removal from the list. I can see the opt=out message but who will that request unsubscribe from the list? I am missing something here. Can you provide some guidance, please? I could not find anything in the documentation.

OK, I found a very roundabout way of achieving the end result:
https://safranbolu.keptlight.com/newsletter-subscribe-or-unsubscribe/
Is this the recommended way of handling users in and out requests? How can I make the form a little better designed?
Thank you.

I thought I found a workaround but it seemed to work only when I was logged in. I would like to:
- Create a form similar to the subscription form with an e-mail field and a button for unsubscribe step. That creates a confirmation e-mail sent to the e-mail address provided. Upon clicking on the link in the e-mail, the user is removed from the list.
- Create an e-mail template that will be sent to the subscribers when a new post is published with its title, featured image, and the first 40-50 words
I have spent a good amount of time on these but not been able to achieve either goal. If the support for this kind of questions is not available here, please let me know and I will not bother you and look elsewhere.
Thank you
Hello @acekin,
sorry for the late reply. Unsubscribe usually works in two ways: the recipient clicks on a direct unsubscribe link, or clicks on a link that redirects to the profile page, where he can unsubscribe or edit preferences. I’m not sure how to accomplish what you’d like to achieve, but it doesn’t make much sense if you provide your subscribers with the proper links in each newsletter you sent, so they have full control on which kind of content they’ll receive from you, and eventually to subscribe.
On new post notification: we don’t have an automated way to do that, but we have the Instasend addon, which allows you to click on a single button directly on post edit page and that sends out what you described to all your subscribers or a particular list.
Hope this clarifies things a bit, let me know if you need further indications.

Thank you. I started reviewing another plugin and hope I will eventually find a replacement for Subscribe2.
