I ftp'd 2 different plugins to http://mamidelux.com but they are not coming up in the list in the admin screen.

I have several other plugins installed for this site and have the same 2 plugins working on my other site http://online-traction.com

Is my DB corrupted? I'm hosted with Powweb.

    ok, then :)

check the second site you mentioned:

I see the optimal title plugin in that dir.

I dont see the semilogic plugin either directory.

    Heres the first one:

Looks to me like you didnt upload them to the correct directory.

that always a good place to start, before posting here :)

you're right about the semilogic not being in site 1 - i thought i had uploaded it.

however, i have double checked the contents of the fpt directory for mamidelux and confirmed that optimal title is there.

suspiciously though I have actually deleted some plugins from the mamidelux.com plugin dir on the ftp server but they are still being listed in the admin interface

is there some way that I can post a screen cap here?

    look at the directory: http://mamidelux.com/calena/wp-content/plugins/

    there is no: http://mamidelux.com/calena/wp-content/plugins/optimal-title.php

and screen captures ought to be uploaded to your own domain and linked to

here is a screen cap from the mamidelux plugin folder that shows the optimal title file

what are the permissions of the 2 files? they need to be 644

(im sure waiting a long time for replies, I do have to sleep sometime :P)

    i checked that already...optimal title has 644

i still don't see why other plugins that have ostensibly been deleted from the plubin dir on this server still appear in the admin interface

    thx for your patience

I dont know, at this point what the problem is.

I dont see them via the web, dont see that semi-recent-comments/ directory via the web either. Short of seeing it via ftp myself, I cant really help.

If you have plesk or cpanel, I would take a look at your apache error log, see if youve gotten any 404's or other errors. Ive hit that site and those 2 files a lot so if there are errors, youll see them there.

You have a good deal of other issues going on with that site, btw, at least 2 mysql errors that I saw.

I will be interested to know how/if you resolve this, so please post back.

that sem-recent-comments/ that needs to be 755, btw. check that too :)

    once again!

check the screen capture, then look again at this http://mamidelux.com/calena/wp-content/plugins/

theres a folder seen via the web thats not showing up in your ftp screen capture.

And also, http://mamidelux.com/calena/ AND http://mamidelux.com go to the same site.

    Something fishy here.

are you using a redirect? And WHICH directory are you putting your plugins in? They ought to go into /wp-content/plugins NOT calena/wp-content/plugins/

mamidelux.com is a sub domain or what powweb call 'additional' domain.

thus the site was contained in a folder 'calena' b/c i had other wordpress installs in the same account

i'm talking to them now to check weirdness at their end

turns out my host powweb changed the ftp server (its possible they told me and i forgot).

    simple answer.

thanks whooami for bearing with me.
