# New plugin version does not trigger "please update" message?

 * Hi all,
 * totally new to plugin scripting in WP, so I hope, you can point me to my mistake
   easily:
 * I updated a new version of the plugin ([http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/smf-group-members/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/smf-group-members/))
   in SVN. On the plugin page it displays the current and the older version correct,
   but my admin panel does not throw a message about a possible plugin update.
 * So I assume, I am missing a step in SVN or something in my readme/PHP… any ideas
   please?
