Hi, after plugin update, we had to reconfigure all prompts, etc…. at Onesignal website, as we have no control over them anymore at WordPress, but we cannot find the suscription bell (color, size, etc…). Can you help to find this configuration?

And when someone unsuscribes same thing, we cannot find the text promps, so we can configure them. Can you help with this too?

More things,… we cannot find in our posts where to select to send notification, it has dissapeared, is missing. Can you help with this?

And finally, we have some: “Additional Custom Post Types for Automatic Notifications Created From Plugins”, we cannot find either this configuration at Onesignal webite, where we have to configure all now. Can you help with this too?

I nearlly forgot, we have some CSS / JS codes for diferent jobs, like time take to show promp to users to sucribe (for example), but there are some others like to use SDK directly from our website instead of from Onesignal so the plugin doesn´t make our website slow when sends notifications, do we have to delete all this configurations as they do not work anymore or still working? As we cannot find many of this configurations at Onesignal website.

Thank you for updating us with all this information, as we are totally lost after this plugin update.

More things are that we cannot find many configurations at One Signal Push config:

    Sent Notification Settings

    – Use the post’s featured image for the notification icon
    – Use the post’s featured image for Chrome’s large notification image
    – Hide notifications after a few seconds
    – Notification Title
    – Send notifications additionally to iOS & Android platforms

Control the way visitors are prompted to subscribe. The Subscription Bell is an interactive widget your site visitors can use to manage their push notification subscription status. The Subscription Bell can be used to initially subscribe to push notifications, and to unsubscribe.

    – Automatically prompt new site visitors with OneSignal Slide Prompt before Native Browser Prompt (recommended)
    – Enable the Subscription Bell
    – Show the Subscription Bell after users have subscribed
    – Show the OneSignal logo on the Subscription Bell dialog
    – Customize the Subscription Bell text
    – Customize the Subscription Bell offset position
    – Customize the Subscription Bell theme colors
    – Size: Small
    – Position: Bottom Right
    – Theme: Red

    Subscription Bell Text Customization:

    – Tip when unsubscribed
    – Tip when subscribed
    – Tip when blocked
    – Message on subscribed
    – Message on re-subscribed (after first unsubscribing)
    – Message on unsubscribed
    – Main dialog title
    – Main dialog subscribe button
    – Main dialog unsubscribe button
    – Blocked dialog title
    – Blocked dialog message

    Subscription Bell Offset Position Customization:

You can override the Subscription Bell’s offset position in the X and Y direction using CSS-valid position values. For example, 20px is the default value.

    – Bottom offset
    90px
    – Left offset
    20px
    – Right offset
    15px
    – Subscription Bell Text Cust

    Advanced Settings:

    – Additional Custom Post Types for Automatic Notifications Created From Plugins:
    job_listing, job

    – Disable OneSignal initialization
    – Show status message after sending notifications

I think we found most things on some nuew promps, but one of the things we cannot find is how to have the PUSH notification activated by default instead of having to turn it on manually with each: post / page / job listing publication?

Is there a way to have autopublish OneSignal PUSH option “turned on” by default please?

-> Send notification when post is published or updated: “AUTO TURNED ON“?

    Thank you.

One last thing if possible…. Notifications to Google Chrome aren´t being sended/received (desktop computers and Android). We have reviewed all configurations and permissions, and we have all activated, but notifications aren´t being received.

Then we tested them at Microsoft EDGE and thru this browser notifications are being received well at both desktops computers and Android.

So there must be something with Google Chrome at desktops computers and Android, that aren´t being received…

Maybe you could check and see why this is happening?

Hello, we have the same problem that we can’t setup over WordPress-Plugin anymore, only over Onesignal-Dashboard.

Also we have a problem with the UTM-tags, they are not adding them to the URL. We set it up over the “Push Settings”>”UTM Settings”, but nothing happens. How could we solve this problem?

    Kind regards
    Manu

Hello, sorry to hear you had a hard time with our new update. This is designed to make a better experience going forward and we appreciate your input. Please make sure to follow our documentation when upgrading. This is a large upgrade https://documentation.onesignal.com/docs/wordpress

You can now configure the web prompts through the onesignal.com dashboard directly like a non-wordpress integration would: https://documentation.onesignal.com/docs/permission-requests

We will look into adding these features:

    • send with custom post types
    • use posts featured image
    • send notification to ios and android is done in the plugin settings
    • activate push by default (auto-turn on)
    • utm parameters

The notification title is now the post title and the body is the first few characters of the post.

You can set notification settings in the onesignal.com dashboard now.

If you need further assistance, please reach out to support@onesignal.com with your website URL using our plugin and we will be happy to investigate if you are having issues!

@onesignal Thank you, so seems we losted features for this big update. Maybe Onesignal could have being more efficient to have same features as we had at WordPress Onesignal configuration, before making this huge update…

Now we have to have our job halfway, until the options that were lost along the way emerge over time, taking several steps back, for a huge update, instead of something good for customers.

Now, I repeat, we will have to keep an eye on these missing options all the time, until we have them back again, to have the plugin working correctly… wasting time, until Onesignal understands that things are not done this way and fix everything lost along the way 🙁

I wonder… Wouldn’t it have been better before launching this super update, to review all the aspects and options that would be affected or disappear, to carry out the work on the Onesignal website so that clients are not affected and in this way, everyone would be happy. I think it is a defect of time and form. Something that should be a before and after, a substantial improvement, is undermined by a botched and half-baked job…

Excuse me, but I don’t understand it. I’m sorry, but with great respect, I can’t understand it coming supposedly from a very professional team.

@onesignal thank you, but the setup for UTM is not working. We have checked everything, the UTM-Parameters are saved but not adding to the URL to each post.

The UTM parameters are not working at the moment. We will be adding this back soon!

Hi everyone, we released version 3.0.4 of the WordPress plugin yesterday which should address:

    1. the “disabled” send to mobile subscriptions button
    2. added back the UTM parameter options
    3. added option to automatically have the “send notification” button checked
    4. various bug fixes and improvements

Can you update to this version and let us know if you are still having issues?

    Thank you!

Hi @onesignal thanks for the update it worked good with those new options, but we too need urgently the fix for the:

Additional Custom Post Types for Automatic Notifications Created From Plugins: job_listing, job

This is because we need that for configuration for our clients (companies) when they publish job offers in our sites from the front end, so notifications are being autopushed from Onesignal, we depend 100% on that config that we lost.

    Thank you.

The notification title is now the post title and the body is the first few characters of the post.

This use to be post title and post excerpt.

We quite often have quizzes which are simple shortcodes as the first few characters of the post. The shortcodes are now being added to the push notification. Is it possible to add an option somewhere we can select an option for the text. Ideally, this is the post excerpt again.

Hello, the feature where we set the push title as the post title and push content as the post content was causing a lot of issues for customers so we changed it back to the original behavior in version 3.0.5 where the “Site Name” set within the onesignal.com dashboard as the push title and the post title as the push content.

If you want to customize it, you can do so by selecting the “Customize notification content” checkbox in the post itself: https://documentation.onesignal.com/docs/wordpress#publish-a-post-to-send-a-notification

    Thank you for your feedback!

For custom post types. We are looking into adding this back. Thank you for your patience.

    Perfect. That works!

    Hi there,

We just released version 3.1.0 of our wordpress SDK and it should fix these issues.

    Full details on our Github:

    https://github.com/OneSignal/OneSignal-WordPress-Plugin/releases/tag/v3.1.0

Can you please upgrade and let us know if you are still having problems with this?

Thank you again for your patience!
