More than 4 times, with different plugins, same problem:

The directory is uploaded to the right place (wp-content/plugins), but the plugin page neither recognized the new plugin, nor did it show an eroor message.

    Sounds familiar to anybody?

  • I am having the same issues, just installed the update for the awsom-news plugin and it’s not showing in the Manage Plugins page

    EDIT:
Just discovered the issue I was having. Much to my chagrin, if I had read the instructions, I wouldn’t have had an issue 🙂

Basically what I was doing was uploading the folder which contained a second folder that held the plugins… so I just uploaded the interior folder. Perhaps this will solve your problem as well?

Yes indeed, and I too found that out by myself a couple of hours after first posting this message. I was meaning to post an update here but forgot.

I believe my troubles were because I wasn’t aware of the fact that when I was unzipping (decompressing) the plugin, I used different motheds, that sometimes resulted in creating a new directory above the original one.

    Anyway, it’s resolved now. Thanks!
