# New pdf uploads doesn’t work

 * So my problem is, that i am unable to use any of the pdf i upload to my media
   library. I can upload the file just fine, but when i look at the image it just
   shows as a document, even when i look at the attachment page. If i download a
   pdf i uploaded in the past, and then upload it again it doesn’t work either. 
   Regular jpg and png works just fine.
 * I checked the permissions in the ftp client, and the folders all have 0755 and
   the images themselves have 0644. I’m not sure if this makes a diffrence.

   of curiosity, what’s your PHP version?

 * I have tried to turn off all plugins aswell, and it still didn’t work.

 * I’m so curious, since you might have the ability this morning (the sites I see
   this problem in are in production and not mine to crash today), could you downgrade
   your PHP version to <7.2 and see if the PHP upload works? On this topic, this
   is my sole hunch.

 * I’m unable to change the PHP version at this momemnt, but I had problem before
   upgrading to 7.4 from 7.0 aswell.
