New order email missing

Hello,
It looks like that in version 2.6.6 i no longer receive new order email notification, neither as admin notification nor as a customer email.We are quite sure that with the last version we had (2.6.5) the email part was working, since we have emails received from the site that proves it.
We tried creating an order in the frontend of the website using the standard Woocommerce workflow and both of the emails actually arrives.
Back to your plugin, if we create an order and THEN press the “send invoice” button we actually receive the customer email for the order but no email notification get triggered.
Are we missing something? something changed? Do you have an idea on what it could possibly be?
