• I have added a new menu item to a sub-menu. It is configured in exactly the same way as other items within the same sub-menu, but does not appear in the sidebar menu. Permissions for both the sub menu and its parent are set to edit_posts.

I’ve unserialized the output of the ws_menu_editor_pro option in the wp_options table, and the values in the array are exactly the same for the new menu item and other menu items that do appear in the menu.

I’m wondering if I’ve done something wrong in setting up the new menu item?

Here’s something to check: Are there any duplicate items with different permissions?

If you have two or more menu items that have the same URL but different permissions, it can sometimes lead to an ambiguous configuration where the same admin page (URL) is both visible and hidden for a particular role. The plugin will try to automatically resolve situations like that, which sometimes means it will hide all of the items.

I’d need to know more about your configuration to suggest anything else. Can you post a screenshot of sub-menu settings here, or email me the contents of the ws_menu_editor_pro option? My email address is whiteshadow@w-shadow.com

    Hi there,

Thanks so much for the followup and sorry its taken so long to get back to you. This issue seems to have resolved itself without any action on our part. I can now see the new menu item in the sidebar menu.

If this recurs I will follow up.
