New Mag based on WordPress
-
Hi,
just want to show new e-mag based on WordPress – it is great system:)
check it out:)
-
FYI
looks nice in Mac Firefox
but breaks into pieces all over the place in Mac Safari 1.2but it does look nice in firefox π
wow! really nice! what theme did you use or did you design it yourself?
The Calender and Video Teaser headings need to be different from your Search bar. They both look like search input fields.
I think you can get away with your blue/lime-green, but I think the brown/tan logo doesn’t fit.
Nice site, love the design.
Fantastic work. I agree the Calendar and video headings need to be different, but I was impressed with how you incorporated the search bar into the overall look.
The photos down the centre? Brilliant idea.
I like the use of the whole width of the page. WP themes tend to leave large swaths of the screen unused and I think that can be a mistake: any well thought out design can incorporate the entire screen without the page looking packed.
All the best,
MichaelPS – what are you using for the tag cloud?
Very spiffy! The code fails validation, took a quick glance and it looks like all minor stuff (quick ‘n easy to fix). π Good job!
Very nice! Different, looks “new”. I’d agree that maybe a different color for the word Tasty in the header might work better.
hi, thanks for feedback:)
mhains: for tag clouds I’m using jerome keywords plugins 2.0 beta
evertj: I designed myself
Nitallica: I know about the errors, some of them are made because of PHP, i’m trying to fix it but sometimes I have no idea how;)
Sorry it’s taken me so long to reply. π
It’s no biggie, re: validation / fixing errors.
I use the HTML Validator plugin for Firefox, and it’s great at giving solutions/suggestions for fixing errors. π
It’s all mostly little “quick fix” stuff, so if you need help, I’d be happy to give you a hand.
I installed HTML Validator plugin – it shows me no error just warnings.
I cleanup some of the warning (25 from 66), but when I tried the other one, it mess up my design.
Most of the warning are with images in the middle, where this php code is used:
<?php $clanky_query = new WP_Query('category_name=clanky&showposts=4');
while ($clanky_query->have_posts()) : $clanky_query->the_post(); ?><div class='clanky'>
<a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark" title="<?php the_title(); ?>">
<?php
if (function_exists('samsarin_the_thumbnail'))
$before = "";
$after = "";
samsarin_the_thumbnail("before=$before&after=$after");
?>
<h3><?php the_title(); ?></h3></a></div><?php endwhile; ?>
Any chance of releasing a variation on this as a public theme?
It looks *completely* broken in my Firefox 2… It looks pretty cool in IE7 though! Nice work! Fix the FF2-issue π
mhains: never think of that, but I’m not sure If I would be able to do that, many plugins has been used and changed, it would not work without them.
Daath: Can you specify what you mean *completely* broken in FF2? Because I’m running FF2 and everythinks looks all right. Maybe a screenshot will be helpfull. thanks
AaaaHA!
Sounds like a job for Browsershots. I’ve submitted your site for screenshots from all the IEs, and some versions of FF, Safari, and Opera.
thanks theiconoclast31, I did that too before and didn’t find any broken example (not including IE 5.01). That’s the reason I would like to have screenshot from Daath.
