Boy, the update to the easing slider certainly isn’t an upgrade. It was hard to configure the dimensions I was requesting* and we lost the capability to link to an interior page. I uninstalled and reinstalled the previous version.

*I would request 1000×300 px as set in the previous version, but image appeared much smaller. But when I increased the dimensions to 2000×450 it became even smaller and cut off the image!! I tried to override the viewer but to no avail. I don’t have time to mess with this stuff. Give me the simplicity and ease of the previous version – 1.2

Hi @outofnormal, sorry to hear about your troubles. Fortunately, you can still link an image to another webpage. Simply click the image in the “Edit Slideshow” admin panel and its options show. First option is for links.

As for resizing, you can enable it in the “Settings” panel. This will resize your images to always fit the slideshow. Otherwise, they are left as-is, and if you use an image that isn’t the same dimensions as the slideshow, it won’t fit nicely.

It sounds like you might have had the responsive functionality enabled as well. This will enable the slideshow to resize to fit the container it is within, specifically designed for responsive sites and mobile. If you’re not interested in using responsive design or supporting mobile resizing, then you can disable this option under the slideshow dimensions.

Again, my sincere apologies for your troubles. I do hope you’ll give the update a chance. It does include all of the features of before, and more. Granted, the additional “click” required to display a slides options is not ideal to users of the previous version, but this was the only way we could add the additional options such as image title, alt text, etc.

Thanks for the response. The resizing is still a problem. I’ll stick with the older version until I’m forced to upgrade.
