    jpegs wont stayed loaded…
I’m using the latest slideshow on the latest WP version..have it for over a year..with no hitches..
all of sudden I inserted 2 more new pics and they wont stay loaded up. When I click select from the media library they load up fine and they are visible at the top of the list however when I click the update button the 2 new jpegs disappear.. my jpegs have been resized 56 kB 275 × 270 so I dont think the size is the issue.. maybe I have reached the limit and dont even realize it. Oh NO!
I currently have 130 jpegs on one slider..

    questions and suggestions…

    (1) why is there not a counter in the back end .. I actually had to hover over the display widget to get an estimated # of pics I have loaded.. I know its 130. When the cursor hovers over the dots a small popup displays the actual slide #.. The last dot is 130… do I really have to do this…?
(2)Is there a limit as to how many pics this plugin can handle?
    can I load 500 to a 1,000 pics..?
    (3) how can I resolve my current issue….New jpegs wont stayed loaded… or have I reached the end of the road?

  • Hi do you know if you receive any error messages on the back end? Do you know how much memory you have allocated to your website by your host?

I recently have transferred my hosting to Blue Host Cloud… I dont know how much memory that entails .. but I do know its more than what I previously had with my older hosting service provider…. why do you ask?

No there are no error messages… when I click update it goes through its normal cycling then the j pegs disappear..

What do you mean.. are u trying to say that if I dont have enough memory that’s the reason why the j pegs dont stay loaded.. and if I did have enough memory its probably a problem with in the plugins..
The memory allocated is about the same as any other personal blog hosted by any hosting service..
    whats the issue here.. ?

Hi, when ever someone using WordPress comes to an issue like yours or similar I always ask how much memory is allocated to their WordPress website. I ask this because WordPress likes to use resources a lot. So for example if you had only 96MB allocated to your website then I would ask that you ask your Host to increase it to 256MB which to me should be the normal memory allocated to WordPress. This amount would avoid any limitations in the future.

In your case however you might like to read the following support thread. This person had a similar issue like yours and was able to fix by changing a value in his server.

    Thank you
