• Hi everybody
I’ve installed 1.2.2 used permalinks to create static URL’s, and used this structure:
    /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%.php
Everything works fine other than archives links. If you click January2005 or calendar (today’s date) for example, you get a page not found error.
    here’s the site: http://www.daily-seo.com
    Any help would appreciated.
    thanks

You have 2 problems. #1 you aren’t using /archives/ at the front. #2 you have .php at the end of postname, you don’t need that. Use this structure (as recommended by WP):
    /archives/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

Thanks a lot, it works right now. I’ve another question. I’m new to blogging. I’ve installed 1.2.2 since it was pre-installed at my hosting. Now I see a new version 1.5 is available. Would you guys recommend me to upgrade. If so, is there anything I should be careful while upgrading?

No, stick with v1.2.2 and get comfortable. v1.5 is in beta form and each nightly build may or may not work. Since you’re just starting out, wait until v1.5 becomes a final release before you upgrade.

Thanks, that’s what I was planning. About the design do you have any recommendations? Everybody is mentioning Kubrick. How can I customize the look on my blog? Can I find free templates for 1.2.2?

    cheers
