Support » Theme: Customizr » New inline CSS since recent upgrade?

    I have noticed that the line-height on the tiles on my website has increased recently, causing long titles to overlap the meta text below. This seems to be caused by a new inline definition that Customizr is using.

    I use a child theme, and had previously overridden this using

    .tc-post-list-grid article .entry-title {
        line-height: 28px;
    }

    Now however I notice that Customizr has introduced a new inline style definition

    .tc-post-list-grid article .entry-title {
        font-size: 24px;
        line-height: 38px;
    }

    This overrides my definition, and since it is inline (style id customizr-skin-inline-css) I can’t override it.

    Can this be corrected, or if the theme needs to use an inline style now for some reason, how can I override it?

  • Hi there,
    can you share a link to your website?

    Anyway, inline CSS rules (which do not contain the !important clause) can be overridden by adding the !important clause to your own rules.

    Actually the problem is with W3 Total Cache. (The inline CSS existed anyway in an earlier Customizr version and worked fine with my child theme override.)

    The site is https://birdcount.in/, which is now working ok with W3 Total Cache deactivated. (Actually this is a different problem, because it won’t reactivate for some reason, but that must be a W3TC problem and nothing to do with Customizr!)

    Cheers

    W3TC eventually reactivated, and I fixed the original problem by changing the Minify CSS settings.
