New image will not show up – only old image

Hi – I have searched high and low and cant get the answer – I am trying to place an image on a friends site and only the old image shows up. I have even made it a solid white image and uploaded it – still it only shows the old image. If I change the image name it then does not show up – so strange –

I have cleared all my cache, rebooted my PC – used FF and IE – still the old image shows up – I have even hard coded it in my file < a href=”http: etc etc.jpg” > still nothing -totally baffled.

Also – when I type in the location I specify in the browser to show the image – it shows the old image… yet… copying my new image to another folder – it looks fine.

I am thinking it is a cache problem but have not found where to release the cache. I did delete the cache folder – still the same problem… help
