# New Guidelines for Theme Development

 * I just came across this info [Guide to Reviewing…](http://www.chipbennett.net/2011/04/20/a-guide-to-reviewing-themes-for-the-wordpress-theme-repository/)
   which also contains links to other guidelines related to wordpress.org.
 * My question: There seems to be some guidelines being implemented (or will be 
   implemented) to the development and coding of themes, but if someone could provide
   some clarification on…Do all these guidelines apply “only” to themes being submitted
   to the repository here at wordpress.org or does (and will this) apply to other
   resources such as theme developer websites, marketplaces like Theme Forest, Mojo
   Themes, etc?
