Hey folks, how are y’all doing? 🙂 I hope I’m putting this in the right forum. 🙂 I’m writing because this morning I upgraded to WordPress 3.5, which I’m liking a lot so far. One thing I like is the new gallery, as I really like the new options available for each image. There’s a problem though.
Before the new gallery came out, I was using the Fancy Gallery plugin. This worked well because besides galleries, I also embed a lot of images into the body of the posts themselves. You can see an example of what I’m talking about here:
Now with the Fancy Gallery plugin, all images — whether in the gallery or embedded in the body of the post — would pop up in the Fancybox popup, which I really liked for usability purposes.
With this new gallery, embedded images simply link directly to the larger image rather than the gallery, forcing the user to use the back button to return to the article, which I’m not as much a fan of from a usability perspective.
Therefore, I’m wondering, can I either make sure articles embedded into the copy of the post are also included into this new gallery plugin for a seamless experience somehow — and if so, how? — or should I go back to the Fancy Gallery for now?
Thanks for your time. 🙂
