I’m trying to host a wordpress blog on my own web server running Fedora Core 6 with the latest versions of Apache, PHP, and MySQL. I haven’t modified any of the Apache and PHP config files.

Everything works great except I can’t view feeds. An example would be the feeds in the home page of the dashboard in wordpress.

I’ve tried many plugins that work in my wordpress sites that are professionally hosted. If I get errors on the Fedora box they tell me it can’t fetch the feeds.

Is there anything I need to do to the Apache or PHP config files to fix this?
