I was using this plugin for years and found it good. Now i upgraded to version 4 and reading new features i found: “No static files anymore, sitemap is created on the fly!”.

And my question is… generate this sitemaps files on the fly not will need more resources than simply store them locally?

I have this doubt because if Google, Bing and other request more than 30 sitemaps each and all of them are generated on the fly it will be resource intensive or … am i worong?

Thanks in advance for your response.

    Same question here.

I’ll wait for some feedback before upgrading.

Since they are split into sub-sitemaps by month, the resource usage is really low. It is like someone opening your front page or browsing through the archives. Also Google and Bing will not query all of them at the same time. So no problem 🙂
