# New Event Issues

 * I started adding events to the calendar on this website I’m working on, and I
   noticed when I tried to view the event page, it just linked back to a full view
   of the calendar, despite the link showing as it’s supposed to link to a specific
   event. Things I’ve tried: There Doesn’t seem to be a setting related. I also 
   tried creating the page in Divi, but that did not make a difference. I inserted
   one of the event links as the link below. I’m running wordress 5.5.1 and The 
   Events Calendar 5.2. My theme is Divi 4.6.5

 * Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue.
 * I do see this issue occurring on your site. As a first step, can you try flushing
   your permalinks by going to Settings > Permalinks and Save Changes?
 * Can you also try a quick test and see if the functionality works as expected 
   with a bare WordPress install? A bare install is basically a default WordPress
   theme like Twenty Twenty and no other plugins besides ours installed. You may
   want to consider trying this out on a staging site so that you don’t have to 
   switch things around on your live site.
