• I just deleted the store on one domain and reinstalled from scratch, and I love OSC so I won’t be switching.

But when deleting the default OSC categories (hardware, etc.), I get the following error:

1064 – You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ” at line 1

    DELETE FROM products_stock WHERE products_id =

    [TEP STOP]

But again, this is a vanilla install. Any idea what I’m doing wrong, or what could be wrong?

  • How are you deleting the categories – are you deleting them manually from within Category/Products or are you using the Delete Demo Products function found under Store Settings? (Either way you shouldn’t be seeing an error.)

I had a similar problem. Individual categories/products from the demo data could not be deleted and produced that error. I had to remove all demo data, which also deleted all the products I have been laboriously adding for the past day!
