This is just to provide some hopefully useful feedback.
I was trying to use the new editor to add a link. I figured that when you paste a link into the window, some options would appear to allow you to modify.

That didn’t happen. I tried rolling over symbols down below, which revealed a bunch of dropdown menus. I’m sure the “add link” option was there but motivation to do a simple task by navigating dropdowns seemed overly cumbersome.

So I installed the classic editor.

If you’d like to make it a little easier for people, recommend adding popular actions onscreen, beside the content window, for people to simply choose from quickly.

  • I run three sites, all using Elementor.

One of my sites is for a small club so I thought I give it a go as all Gutenberg. Over the last week, the New Year festivities excepted, I’ve had to update my site once or twice every day and also started a new page.

I’m beginning to find it quite smooth and easy to use now. I quite like it, but needed to stick with it for a while to get the run of it. I use Atomic Blocks and Ultimate Add Ons. I’ve got some paper notes on my desk for reference of the easily forgettable, but am using them less frequently now.

Going back to Elementor is a bit of a change, but not too much. I will probably go all Gutenberg on one other site, but leave my main business one with Elementor.

Stick with it. It will become easier.
