P.S. I’ve signed up for a Pro plan because I’ve gotten a lot of value out of this software for years. I hope you keep the focused, clean UI and good performance. More features is not necessarily better.

Hi,
We’ve reworked a lot of the features lately. Is the problem solved now in the latest update?
Thanks for letting me know.
Hello,
It’s not a bug—I’m referring to the whole feature. I cannot figure out why this was added.
On the main statistics page, I click on a page in the top 20. Instead of going to that page, now it shows statistics for that page in the black summary banner. But those statistics are already in the table, so I am not getting any new information. This “feature” adds no value and adds new steps to get to the page.
On mobile, the interaction is worse because the “Page = ” panel appears off-screen.
Hello @flaneuring,
IIRC, you’re using the single-day view, correct?
If you view multiple days worth of data then the chart also updates when clicking a page, showing you how the pageviews and visits were spread out over the time frame you are watching. That is definitely new information and several users have asked for this.
I’m not sure what we can do here, but would love your input. Should we work a direct link to the page back into the interface? Or disable this new feature for single day views?
OK, but from a design perspective, it is weird that the blue panel appears far away from the item I just clicked on. Not intuitive. There was probably not much of a design process behind this. It is understandable if you are not a designer.
I would pull the feature and have a designer look at it. This is a filter, so the selected page should be highlighted in the same table. Then it should be possible to remove the filter inline.
If you leave the feature, then yes I would disable it in the single-day view.

Even from the multi-day view, maybe some people want to go directly to the page instead of see the filtered chart. Just because some users want it doesn’t mean all users want it.
The new feature is creating new issues that have to be figured out. Doing design work before shipping can prevent having to patch things up after release.
Thank you. We value your feedback and are taking it in consideration for a future release.
