Does the post author have a WordPress user account on your site or are they submitting it as a guest or using a front-end form of some kind?
I can’t see an issue why it wouldn’t be working unless something else is causing an issue.
Hello, the author is actually me, the WordPress site is mine and the post I am trying to get receive the notifications from is mine. I use Disqus as my commenting platform, and use the syncing option to sync the comments to my WordPress site.

Are you able to test with another user as the author to see if it’s just the admin that is being prevented from receiving notifications. I’ve seen this happen sometimes.

I am trying to set up a notification to send an email to the author of a specific post. I would like that author to receive an email whenever there is a new comment on the post, is this possible? It would be a specific post, not all posts if that makes sense?
