    Steps to reproduce:

    • Add a long comment to a post
    • Pin the comment so it stays at the top
    • Add a new comment

The new comment appears below the pinned comment, instead of at the top like usual when a new comment is posted.

Because the pinned comment is long, the user cannot see that their comment was posted successfully – it appears below the viewport. There is no other feedback provided to the user other than their comment text disappearing from the box. They are likely to think it failed and try to post the same comment again.

Although pinned comments should stay at the top normally, when posting a new comment the user needs some kind of feedback so they know that it worked. I think it should appear above the pinned comment.

    Hi @salubritas,

This is designed to work in this way.

We may add a new feature that will automatically focus the added comment once it is submitted in future releases.

We will have to turned pinning of comments off then. Users need some kind of feedback after submitting a comment.
