New code editor sticks firefox

    The new code editor in 2.8 is horrible slow, it actually freezes my browser (firefox, PC) for about 20 seconds every time I load the theme editor. Anyone else getting this problem?

    Not that this helps but I am having the exact same problem. I use the scroll wheel on my mouse and it freezes for about 20 seconds. I think it has something to do with the new line numbering. There may be a way to deactivate it but I just started looking. Will post if I find something.

    mine is now writing in “white” so I have to highlight everything in the editor to read it. Definitely some bug when I updated. Happened at two different blog sites of mine.
