new categories not showing

    Hi, I have installed the new 2.7 wp ok, but when I add categories they do not show in the side bar.
    I have un-installed, downloaded again, re-installed still with the same problem, no additional categories, I have had no problems with previous versions.

    Are there any posts in those categories? If categories are empty WordPress will not display them.

    I think Lenk has answered your question, try and put something into a post and attach it, to one of your new categories, they will then show up in the sidebar.
