Am having problems creating new blog posts on one wp installation. I cannot recreate the problem on other wp installations on the same website.

The problem is, when I try to create a new blank blog post, sometimes the title fills in automatically with an earlier blog post title (always the same one), or after I have created the post and hit “publish” or “update”, the blog title reverts to that earlier blog post title.

Also, the published date also reverts to the published date for that earlier blog post

I have tried editing from a different computer and IP address. Same problem.
I have tried using a different browser (Chrome instead of Firefox). Same problem.
I have binned the blog post and created a fresh one. Same problem.

The problem blog post is http://sheffnersweb.net/blogs/classblogs/dwc/?p=3261
The title is WS1, week 3, April 28th, 2017 but it should be WS1, week 5, May 19th, 2017. No matter how often I edit it, it always reverts when I publish.

    Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

Problem only occurs when creating/editing blog posts with the title beginning WS1
Blog posts with the title beginning AS1 suffer no problem.
All blog post titles begin with either WS1 or AS1.

Two versions of problem blog post “WS1, WEEK 3, APRIL 28TH, 2017” exist with different content. One was the original one created on April 28th. The other was created May 19th, but published date is April 27th (same as the “WS1, WEEK 3, APRIL 28TH, 2017” one) so it does not sit on top, although it was the most recently created blog post.

Problem seems to be resolved, after repairing SQL database.
