I am getting a new design for my blog and I have internal images. I need worddpress to auto adjust the past post with images to a specific width.

the new design calls for a new width of the column and it is going to mess up the rest of my past post because it has images in them and sccreenshots at 500 width.

is there a plugin that can auto adjust every past post images to a scalable size for example maybe 400?

    thanks for the input.

    try timthumb (http://www.darrenhoyt.com/2008/04/02/timthumb-php-script-released/) as a "plugin-alike" option

try using the wordpress native post-thumbnails (http://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Thumbnails) which can be defined in your theme's functions.php and combine that with the regenerate-thumbnails plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/). Yet, be aware of this: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-regenerate-thumbnails-broken-badly?replies=8.

looks like these will edit thumbnails and not the image itself. I purposely resize my images at 500 to fit perfectly in the post. so there is no thumbnail really. just the actual image within the post.

which I need to have resize especially since i have a new design goin up soon, which will make my site look broken if I dont resize these images.
