Plugin Name and version: Easy Heads Up Bar, 2.1.7
I did this: created new bar, made previous bar private
I expected the plugin to do this: show the new bar and not the old
Instead it did this: kept showing the old bar, not the newly published one.

Because I liked how the old bar ran, I set the settings for the new bar the same as the old. Then I made the old bar “private,” and changed the dates so that it should no longer run. But it’s as if I made no changes at all.

btw….I didn’t want to just delete the old bar, because I might like to use it again sometime, and worried that if I deleted it, I wouldn’t be able to set it up again.

    Thoughts?
    Thanks!

I have double the plugin and it does support the private setting, it does not support password protected bars.

So I am not sure why your having issues but as everyones set up is unique there may be some theme or plugin getting into the mix here.

If you are using a cacheing plugin, or if your host is cacheing the site, you may be seeing a cached version of your page. Try emptying and or resetting your cache.

If you’re still having issue you can always make the bar as a “Draft”.
