• I’ve been given the task of updating our website and the person who previously did it is no longer at this organisation. How do I login or reset the password to get logged into my website? The username and password don’t work that she gave me.

  • Do you have FTP access to your hosting account?

    Hey,

The username and password are stored in a table in the site’s database.

So one way is to access the database and make some edits.

I dont know how your site is hosted but many hosts provide database access thru phpmyadmin.

Doing a quick search about this issue I would suggest you look at:

Especially the last post in this issue – this seems relatively easy.

how do I get to phpmyadmin ????

You need to ask your hosts for assistance with this.

phpmyadmin is provided by the hosting company.

However, since I dont know (you haven’t specified) what your hosting setup is, I am not sure if you can even use this.

I would suggest you contact your hosting provider and ask if there is a way to access mysql databases.

Once you find out, you will need to take some time to learn how to use whatever they suggest.

If it is phpmyadmin, then there are plenty of how to on the web on how to use it.

Once you know how to use it, please look at the link I suggested above for what table to edit.

Begin here to know who you need to contact about how to get access:
