• I’ve been working for months to get a new look started for one of my websites that I’d put on hold. It’s finally taking shape. Here’s my new WordPress theme:

I wanted a WP theme to match Kevin Cannon’s Relic template that I’m using to design the site. You can see that here:

I couldn’t find a 3 column theme like I wanted, so I decided to give it a try. Using Moshu’s Tutorial to get me started, I created a new 3-column WP theme and named it Regal.

It’s taken me months, and I know the theme still needs lots of tightening up. Would appreciate if you’d look it over offer any suggestions.

Especially needing help with the “Next Page” link at the bottom. It seems to work from single pages, but doesn’t work from the home page.

Right now I still have September as the date of last post. That’s because I’ve got a backlog of stuff I’m putting on and it will hopefully be up to date soon.

Thanks for any suggestions or helps you can provide.

    Lois

  • I have a huge whitespace between the right-hand edge of the posts and the left-hand edge of the right sidebar. The right column is not under the header image.
This in IE6, screen res. 1280 px, and same in Firefox.

Thanks, Bricolou. I have noticed that also. I worked on the white space at the right side of the middle column a lot and couldn’t figure out how to fix it. Does anyone have any ideas? Regarding the right column, if I move it up higher, I don’t know how to make it collapse at 800×600. These are both areas I was hoping someone here might have solutions for.

Where would be the best place to find help with fixing these problems? Specifically the right column positioning and white space, and the “next page” link on the main page of site?

I’m not a theme developer, just trying to get this one fixed up for my website. (Of course would be willing for anyone else to use if ever it is rixed up.)
