  • I had tremendous problems with getting support from MailPoet over non-functionality and initially posted a very negative review here. But they have earned my trust back.

  • Wow, sorry to hear of this melt-down. It’s an incredible challenge for them to make it work on everyone’s computer. I know they try hard, but they’re just not up to snuff on their own product as used in the real world. Thank goodness it works for most people most of the time.

    There is no doubt that any serious user who sends out emails in a semi-professional or professional manner needs to have several good solutions — never a single solution plug-in that they exclusive depend on for all uses.

    If you host or admin several sites, cover your butt and hedge your bets by using several different solutions.

    In fairness to MailPoet, they apologized, refunded my payment but did not revoke my premium status. But I have wasted such precious time dealing with this problem, with nothing but email to contact them with, and have wasted most of today testing out new WordPress email plugins (one looks promising…it actually will allow you to pull in your RSS feed, which is a good timesaver for me).

    I still won’t get those deleted emails back though, which is distressing.

    I have been pleased with the mailgun plug in and service for many years. It does not replace Mail Poet in any way, but gives you good options for handling all mail out of your WP site. The program I have on MailGun is the first 100k emails a month for free across all my sites.

    We’re sorry to see MailPoet didn’t initially work in your case, however, we did get the original issue resolved by re-creating your templates from scratch which allowed the newsletters to be sent and did work in testing.

    While we do our utmost to ensure nothing happens when testing in these situations and it’s extremely rare for anything to happen, in this case, something did go wrong and we sincerely apologize for that.

    If you have a database backup, we’d be happy to recover the deleted newsletters for you and add them back.

    Overall, we work hard to ensure MailPoet works across all instances and in some cases where that may not eb possible, we work hard to fix the issues. If for any reason a customer requests a refund as you did, we refund swiftly and without any questions, the majority of problems do get fixed and we maintain an overall low refund rate.
