Support » Installing WordPress » never recieved confirmation e-mail for new blog

  • I just created a new blog but I never received a confirmation e-mail. Its been more then 24 hours, and I am now unable to login to the blog as I was warned would happen. How do I get the confirmation e-mail? I know the e-mail address is working, I tested it myself.

    That site is powered by blog.com and you’d have to ask there for help.

    … well that would be a problem, because I can find no technical assistance at all on the blog website, even logged on as a user for another blog system they run. 🙁 I mean, what do you do if it doesnt work, locks you out, and then offers no help for solving the problem? Maybe I’ll jump ship and use another blog medium.

    The thing is, no one here can help you because that site isn’t a self-hosted wordpress blog, in the way you’re thinking. Yes, they use WordPress, but we can’t ‘fix’ the problem since it’s not your install.

    WordPress, you see, is a web app you download onto your server and set up. If you needed help with that, we’re your friendly volunteers.

    Blog.com is what looks like someone’s WPMU (or BuddyPress) site and is run by them. And within a minute of looking at their site, I found the link for support: http://support.blog.com/
