  • I have installed wp with multisite 3.5

    I am not getting the Network Sub tab in Dashboard – tools – xxx

    From all the setup inst and youtube videos I should be seeing a
    Network Sub tab in Dashboard – tools – Network

    I am unable to see or configure “Address of sites in your Network”
    My installation created the default

    define('MULTISITE', true);
    define('SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL', false);
    define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', '');
    define('PATH_CURRENT_SITE', '/');
    define('SITE_ID_CURRENT_SITE', 1);
    define('BLOG_ID_CURRENT_SITE', 1);

    In the wp-config.php I want to run in subdomain mode and map addtional subdomains to domains using the domain plugin / technique

    Why am I not seeing the network subtab under tools which would then allow me to choose the type of address to build my sites on

    this is on a shared host arvixe
    I have setup a test wp multisite on a straight install that defaulted to subdirectories no problem.

    I have also tried to change the line
    define('SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL', false); to
    define('SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL', true);
    in the wp-config but when I save the config file everything gets put of char return and I get errors on reload.
    If you don’t mind me asking how do you edit and save the config file without messing up its structure I use ftp core and editor off the ftp site

    Do you have

    /* Multisite */
    define('WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE', true);
