Support » Plugin: WP Super Cache » Network site is caching even when plugin is disabled

  • Hello,

    I have 1.3.2 installed on a WP 3.6 multisite setup.

    It would be great if the plugin would not cache on a network site when the plugin is not enabled for that particular site.

    eg: The plugin is installed but disabled on all sites. It was enabled on 1 of the network sites but no longer is enabled. When viewing other sites in the network I can still see caching information at the bottom of pages:

    <!-- Dynamic page generated in 1.372 seconds. -->
    <!-- Cached page generated by WP-Super-Cache on 2013-08-19 21:32:36 -->
    <!-- Compression = gzip -->

    Some pages also have a <!-- super cache --> at the end as well, not sure what that’s about.

    The plugin is not network enabled, not enabled anywhere at the moment.

    Just wondering if there are any plans to make the plugin multisite compatible (so that it can be enabled or disabled per network site). A different configuration per network site is probably too difficult, so happy to share configuration, however it would be great if it would not cache on a network site when the plugin is not enabled for that particular site.

    Thanks,
    Dave

  • This may happen because the .htaccess file is not writable by the plugin – see if the rewrite rules are still there, and point to the /cache/supercache folder.

    That .htaccess file is shared by the network, so it will affect all sites.
