After setting up the network and altering the code in wp-config.php and .htaccess and clicking on "Go to Dashboard," I receive a message from WordPress telling me that the database needs to be repaired. Based on the results, it looks like the tables are not being created. Is there any way to remedy this?

    wp_1_posts: Table 'keiserm1_wordpress.wp_1_posts' doesn't exist
    wp_1_comments: Table 'keiserm1_wordpress.wp_1_comments' doesn't exist
    wp_1_links: Table 'keiserm1_wordpress.wp_1_links' doesn't exist
    wp_1_options: Table 'keiserm1_wordpress.wp_1_options' doesn't exist
    wp_1_postmeta: Table 'keiserm1_wordpress.wp_1_postmeta' doesn't exist
    wp_1_terms: Table 'keiserm1_wordpress.wp_1_terms' doesn't exist
    wp_1_term_taxonomy: Table 'keiserm1_wordpress.wp_1_term_taxonomy' doesn't exist
    wp_1_term_relationships: Table 'keiserm1_wordpress.wp_1_term_relationships' doesn't exist
    wp_1_commentmeta: Table 'keiserm1_wordpress.wp_1_commentmeta' doesn't exist
    wp_sitecategories: Table 'keiserm1_wordpress.wp_sitecategories' doesn't exist

I think the problem occurred when I modified wp-config.php. I mistook MULTISITE for WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE. Once that was defined, everything worked properly.
