# Network Brute Force Protection Error

 * “An unknown error prevented the API key request from succeeding. The request 
   for an API key returned an unrecognized response. Please wait a few minutes and
   try again.”

 * Getting this error on several new sites I’m building out.
 * Only plugins that are active are BackupBuddy and iThemes Security, both Pro versions.
 * Theme is a barebones theme.
 * Anyone else having this issue lately?
