Nested shortcodes not available in WP 5.0?

    Hi—

    Since updating to WP 5.0 I’m finding that I can no longer add nested shortcodes–e.g., an audio player within an accordion tab, at least using the “wizard” buttons. (So far I’ve been able to “hard-code” the shortcodes, but of course that’s not an ideal solution.)

    Is this a known problem with 5.0? Should I expect a fix? Is there a recommended workaround?

    Hi David,

    when you’re inserting a shortcode it’s always added to the end of the selected block.

    It’s definitely a bug, which should be fixed. I plan to fix it in future updates, but not the closest one.
