# Nested quotes break highlighting

 * Hello all,
 * Love syntax highlighting and all the vivid plugins available.
    It’s just that
   I’m experiencing an error:
 * Here’s the page on my site, where the error is visible:
 * – [http://4nf.org/code/ajaxify/](http://4nf.org/code/ajaxify/)
 * (from
 * `var div12 = '<div class="ajy-$1"$2';`
 * onwards…)
 * I’m still using “SyntaxHighlighter Compress”, because it was the only one that
   seemed to work in an AJAX environment, but I quickly tested “Syntax Highlighter
   Evolved” by installing and dumping the above source code in the HTML editor, 
   wrapped in [js][/js] shortcodes.
 * The result was identical to what the above page shows.
 * I’m wondering, whether it is this known bug:

 * or something else?

 * Worked around it, by altering quotes in a comment, that were causing the problem.
 * But I presume it is the above bug, that causes these symptoms…
