Forgive me for my inattention! I just noticed the quotation mark nesting function. My bad.

Hi @pavelberg1, can you give an example of the “dialog dashes” you mean? The hanging punctuation feature is somewhat unreliable in practice, so I’m not sure it is worthwhile.

Hi @pavelberg1, are you still interested in expanding the hanging punctuation feature? IF so, I’d need a textual example to have a closer look.
The usual type of dialogs:
— Hello!
— Why do I need your "hello"? Give me money!
A more readable form of dialogues, but nevertheless forgotten in most books:
— You're a skinny dog!
— You're a deer yourself!
As you may have noticed: in the dialogue, the phrase and dash are separated by double unbroken space. In addition, dashes are taken out of the field. Thus, dialog text aligned with the rest of the text blocks.

Thanks for the example. I don’t think that can be done in a reliable way. I’ll try to revisit the feature, but I doubt this is doable in a generic and robust way, so don’t get your hopes up 😉
Yes, you’re right. In this case, it is difficult to choose an algorithm — the conditions for executing the script are too ambiguous. But I believe in you! 🙂 I’m sure many would be grateful to you.
