I seem to be getting JS errors in my console both with Classic Editor enabled and with out when editing any page. I have tried switching to twentynineteen and still have the same problem. I have also been through disabling my plug-ins one by one but no luck.

With Classic editor enable I get the following JS errors:

mce-view.min.js?ver=5.1:1 Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token

wp-tinymce.js?ver=4920-20181217:3 Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token

post.php?post=15&action=edit:2226 Uncaught ReferenceError: tinymce is not defined
    at post.php?post=15&action=edit:2226

And with it disabled (ie. trying to use Block Editor) I get a white screen of death and a whole host of JS errors

Have you changed anything? Updated or install new plugin/theme?

Figure out what changed, then try undoing that change.

I did question that but have tested by switching themes and also disabling all plug-ins but to no effect.

So far I’m thinking it might be to do with the inclusion of WiredMinds tracking code which is added in by the hosts (not part of WordPress) as some of the javascript errors point that way.

Are you using some tinymc plugin?

    Which one? https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/wp-tinymce/

Please identify exactly which plugin you are using and then post in that plugin’s dedicated forum via its page in the Plugin Repository so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.

Hi, not the Tiny MCE is being loaded when the ‘Classic Editor’ Plug-in is activated.

    Side note to @dickraney,

Please do not jump into other topics. If the troubleshooting already posted made no difference for you, then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. A lot more people will see your post, and that way you stand a good chance of getting the assistance you want. Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical servers, accounts, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Thus one problem, on one setup is not indicative of the functionality and reliability of an application as a whole.

    I’ll be archiving your post.

As I mentioned earlier in my thread, is was in fact the WiredMinds metrics pixel code being automatically included by the hosts that caused the issues. Having disabled this pixel code the editor works fine again now.
