• Hello !

This morning I noticed the following: on a site that started its sales today, the “low” value for many products is showing the price before the discount. The site doesn’t use any caching.

So I checked 2-3 of these “problematic” products, and after clicking “update,” everything worked fine.

Why does this happen? Does it take a few days for the prices to be fetched correctly?

Thanks for the report, but could you break down the problem description into steps and dates? Step by step, when did you create the product (approximately), what was the price, when did it change and to what, step by step.

And which price from this whole history is displaying now, and which one do you think should be displaying and why.

    Hello let me explain.

    • The product price was 89$
    • I changed the price to 63$
    • I chnaged the variation prices actually and click on the Save Variations price.
    • After a few moments some products were showing “30 day low : 63$” and others “30 days low: 89$”
    • I went to one of the latter products and clicked update.
    • The text now is “30 day low: 63$”

so you changed all variations prices, yes? or only some of them?

After a few moments some products were showing “30 day low : 63$” and others “30 days low: 89$”

do you know if there were any differences between the variants? anything what could suggest why one were showing correct price and other not?

i just tried on clean product and in my case all was ok, but that does not mean your case is the same. I am asking questions above to try to find anything what could cause not saving the price for some variations.

btw, how many variants do you have of this product? could you share a link to the product in the front end?

    Hello

I have 5 variants, I have changed all the variant prices and on the first save it did not work but in other items it worked.

This item here has only one variation https://www.iconworld.gr/shop/rouha/kostoumia/lara-ethnics/maria-blanc-aspro-deto-krop-poukamiso-le251maria_2334/ I changed it from 66 to 59 and no it keeps showing 66. However if I save the product I will get the right result.

could you provide me a screenshot from your configuration screen? wp-admin > woocommerce > wc price history

Thank you for the screenshot. In my opinion, what you see on the product page is correct.

In the settings, you have set “count minimal price from > day before … (excludes promotional price)”.

So if you had the price set at 66 and then started a promotion with the price at 59, then – according to your settings – the lowest price that should be displayed is exactly 66: the promotional price of 59 is excluded from calculations and the plugin searches for another lowest price within the preceding 30 days. In the previous 30-day period, you had only one price – 66 – and this is what’s being displayed.

This price display is also compliant with the EU Omnibus Directive.

If you want, you can change the setting to “includes promotional price” and then 59 will appear as the lowest price.

Thanks for the clear answer. So what should we do? Also why does the price changes on save?

    >So what should we do?

either you want to have the promotional price included or exluded, please adjust your settings and that’s it 🙂

    > Also why does the price changes on save?

that part concerns me too, it should not happen and I don’t know why it happens. Could you try to test it with all plugins (except woocommerce and wc price history) disabled and see if it happens?
