Support » Fixing WordPress » Need To Use My Backup Files

  • Hi – I just updated my Headway theme and it messed up my website; it moved things around from the right side to the middle, to the bottom…..

Right before I updated to 201 Headway theme, I backed up everything through my WP admin. I have the backup files downloaded to my flash drive and would like to get my site back to where it was before I updated the theme, even if it took me back to an earlier version of the theme. I have a godaddy acct, use Linux, PHP 5x, website: http://AmericasWeightLossExpert.net

    Thanks for any help!

You need a copy of the original theme from wp-content/themes.

I have a copy of the theme that was present at the time of backup; the theme that was used before the new updated theme was updated/ put in. Now what – just download old theme???

Yes. I’d suggest switching to the Twenty Ten theme first, deleting the updated 201 Headway theme, uploading the old Headway theme and then switching to it.

I did that and this is the message I received:

“The requested leaf type does not exist. Please re-activate the plugin if you wish to use this leaf again.”

Forgot to mention: what plugin from the above message/ post?

Sorry but I’ve no idea what is meant by “leaf type”.
