Need to remove unused sections from static front page

    Hello,

    I have deleted the pre-loaded “Blog” and “Contact” page, and have removed them from the Menu, and removed all their contents. They still maintain space on my homepage, with the title “Blog.” When I try to edit the section I get a message saying I have to restore it from the trash to edit. Customizer shows no content in the page.

    I’m sure empty sections are not supposed to show. Have also emptied Chrome’s cache, and tried a different browser–same result.
