[Resolved] Need to remove "posted on"

  • Hi,
    am using Pilot Fish Theme and need to remove from the pages the “Posted on XXXXXXX by admin” . Found on one forum support to do following – Add this code to style.css under “/* =Content” to remove: Posted by, Posten on, Posted in and comments.
    Code:
    .post .entry-utility, .post .entry-meta {display:none;}

    Did so but did not work. Can you suggest anything?

    Thanks

    to remove the “Posted on XXXXXXX by admin”, you can add this to the style.css:

    .page footer.post-data .post-meta { display: none; }

    Hope it helps 🙂

    Thanks, fantastic, it worked.

    One other thing if you dont mind. I have a blog page which I created (a blank page just named My Blog). I linked the page to a custom menu I created under Appearance/menus as the original blog page I had deleted it by mistake. Strange enough, when I press on this page the default page things come up.

    Any solution?

    it’s weird, I just checked your site. Would you mind creating a temporary username and password for me on your site, so I can login and try to fix it?

    where shall i send you login details?

    OK, I receive it. Right now I’m at work (work study), I’ll take a look at it after I get home 🙂

    Fixed it. I don’t know what’s wrong either… so I just deleted the old “My Blog” and created a new one, and applied “Blog Post” template, and it worked this time.

    Thanks Danni, you are great. If I may, one other thing. Is there a plugin or way where a user friendly platform can be created for other site administrators but who are not that IT oriented. The WordPress backend administration layout is not that normal day to day user friendly so needed to find something to make their life more easy, just facility to add maybe pages, administer blog, etc.
