I did this:
Attempted to make three sets of variations, with options to change price based on one of the variation categories. I am attempting to list rings for sale, so there are three variations that need to be taken into account: Material (14Kt Gold, 18Kt Gold, Platinum), Gold colour (N/A, Yellow, White, Rose), and Ring Size (4 to 9.5). The only variation that I want to change the price is Material.
I expected WP e-Commerce to do this:
Once I created the variations, I would be able to go in and change the prices of the Materials variations, and leave the other variation prices blank because they are modifiers and do not affect the price. Paypal allows you to create Add to Cart buttons like this, where only one of the drop downs changes the base price.
Instead it did this:
Gave me a list of 117 individual variations, where I have to change each individual price to have it reflected on the live page, or bulk edit in groups. This makes it a very time consuming task to create each product with the proper prices reflected.
Does anyone have a solution for this? Currently we use Paypal to create Add to Cart Buttons and this works all right, but it means each page is hand coded. The catalogue/collection pages have to be hand coded as well. Has anyone found a solution for this? I have literally gone through the entire support forum to try and find something to help!
