Need to hire for some WordPress customizations

Dear all,

I am a photographer moving from Austria to New York in a month. I once ran a pretty popular blog about my experience as a photographer and want to set up a new blog now to continue blogging about my experiences moving to another country and starting out again.

Back then I used Movable Type but so far the new version of WordPress seems to be better. My problem is that I have no clue about PHP at all. Though I am very good in design and HTML.

Before actually putting all the functions into my own and designed HTML template I want to configure and set all the functions that I need and/or want within the default theme of WordPress. I am done with the index page more or less but need to figure out how to do certain things on other pages. Like how to arrange the comments section on Single Post pages the way I want them instead of having them displayed the way the <?php wp_list_comments(); ?> tag displays them. Or how to change the size of the displayed Gravatar image, make the search look the way I want it to look, etc.

What I am looking for is somebody who can do these customizations for me so that I can just replace or add them to the code of the default template files. Once everything works the way I want it to I can just integrate everything in my own design which shouldn’t be a problem.
