I have been working on a site on my local through XAMPP and used the tutorial below to upload the site live.

    http://www.jestro.com/web-design/convert-local-wordpress-xampp-installation-into-live-site/

I changed option_name values of siteurl and home and it works out great. However, when I tried to upload new images, it comes up with an error saying that the folder could not be created. The site already has an upload folder, how do I change the path so that wordpress knows where it is? (I tried to change through wp_options upload_path but no avail.)

    Thanks!

    Hi,

YOu need to set the upload path from wordpress admin area -> settings -> miscellaneous option..when you set the path upload the images thenre and also change in image path at your blog images..with database replace query…

You have to set the upload image folder writtable permissions..

    Thanks,

    Shane G.
