    Hi there,

    I have been told by my hosting provider we need to set a password and update the port as they’re changing redis to a more secure version.

    We’ve found the info in wp-config to update, however, they told us not to do this as we also need to update the following…

    ./public_html/vendor/phpunit/phpunit-mock-objects/src/Matcher/Parameters.php
    /wp-content/plugins/redis-cache/dependencies/predis/predis/src/Connection/Parameters.php
    /test-me/wp-content/plugins/redis-cache/dependencies/predis/predis/src/Connection/Parameters.php
    /wp-content/plugins/redis-cache/dependencies/predis/predis/src/Connection/Parameters.php
    /old-site/wp-content/plugins/redis-cache/includes/predis/src/Connection/Parameters.php

    In these directories blocks, such as these are set:

    private static $defaults = array(
    ‘scheme’ => ‘tcp’,
    ‘host’ => ‘127.0.0.1’,
    ‘port’ => 6379,

    However, there is no password field and we’re unaware if a password should be set from there or from another place.

    I would suggest reviewing the above with a developer or the plugin’s support so you can set the custom 6380 port and add the password we provided with our initial report.

    Do we just need to set it in the config? Or do we need to go into all of these files manually and update it?

    Thank you very much

    Hi there,

    I appreciate that you may be busy and do not want to seem rude.. however, I wondered if this had been looked at?

    I am only asking as our host informed us that they will be disonnecting redis after 20 hours due to the vulnerabilities.

    Thank you

    Have you consulted the readme file?

    Thank you for replying..

    Yes, I have read through this and passed it over to the hosting providers, we were able to find the wp-config options.. However, they also noted the extra files with connection parameters but weren’t sure if they were edited through those files.

    Do we just set it in the wp-config and it takes affect there?

    Sorry if the question sounds dumb..

    Yep, the plugin is confirmed through the wp config file.
