• Hi. The Participant’s Database works almost perfectly for my needs. Thank you.

My Participants fill in a form and one of the fields is a vCard upload. This works fine and, on a separate page, I can get a text hyperlink to the file to show with the shortcode: [pdb_single fields=”vcard”]. Rather than having the name of the file as the download link I’d like to have a button but cannot find any way to add the shortcode link to any buttons in WP.

Is this a WordPress shortcoming, a restriction in the plugin or me just being useless.
Thanks for any pointers if you know of a solution.

    Cheers, Don

I don’t quite understand what it is you want it to do. The only way I know of to use a button to display a shortcode is to place the shortcode on a page for that purpose, then use the button to take the user to that page.

The tricky part is knowing which record to show them. If the link to the page with the shortcode has the record ID in it, it will show that record, but I don’t have enough information to tell you how to do that and show the user the correct record when they click the button.
